What are we looking for in you?

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Level 1-3 Valve Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working with Motor Operated Valves (MOVs), Pressure Safety Valves (PSVs), Isolation Valves (IVs) and Control Valves. This position requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to safe work practices. 
 

Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED and 2-5 years industrial valve repair experience, or an equivalent number of years of education and experience.  

  • Ability to pass background screens and drug/alcohol testing as required by our customers. 

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as working as part of a team. 

  • Must have reliable transportation, be able to travel extensively, and work variable hours. 

  • TWIC card and nuclear clearance a plus. 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. 

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. 



Responsibilities:
 
  • Responsible for repair and testing of various valves, including but not limited to Control Valves, MOV, AOV, gate valves, swing check, safety/pressure relief valves and globe valves 

  • Break down, inspect, clean, repair, and reassemble valves in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Conduct functional and pressure testing to verify valve performance.
  • Accurately document work performed, test results, and findings.
  • Follow all company and site-specific safety procedures and policies.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Support other team members and supervisors as needed to meet project deadlines.


Requirements:
 
  • Previous hands-on experience with MOVs, PSVs, IVs, and Control Valves.
  • Knowledge of valve mechanics, diagnostics, and safe work practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Ability to work 10+ hours per day, up to 7 days/week 

  • Ability to work in both hot and cold conditions, with possible exposure to radiation or chemicals 

  • Ability to perform field work in all areas of the job site, including ability to climb ladders, stairs, and scaffolds at various heights 

  • Ability to bend, kneel, crawl, or stoop around equipment safely 

  • Ability to work in confined spaces, if needed 

  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and lift up to 20 pounds overhead
