Summary: We are looking for a highly qualified Scheduler to join our team at the Palisades Nuclear Plant. Your primary responsibility will be to schedule daily work involving plant activities. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in a construction-type setting and strong communication skills. This role is critical to supporting both daily and outage-related operations in a high-security, safety-sensitive environment.
Responsibilities:
Schedule daily work involving plant activities including paint, insulation, scaffolding, rigging, and vehicle maintenance.
Support additional project scopes and emergent work as needed.
Continue daily scheduling during planned outages while supporting the broader outage execution plan.
Interface with field supervisors, planners, and project managers to ensure schedule accuracy and sequencing logic.
Identify schedule sequencing issues and propose improvements for efficiency and coordination.
Maintain accurate Primavera P6 schedules and update activity progress regularly.
Generate and distribute 3-week look-aheads, daily updates, and resource coordination reports.
Adhere to all site and company rules, safety policies, PPE requirements, and nuclear compliance standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of general construction scopes and project sequencing.
Experience with outage planning and daily scheduling in nuclear or industrial environments.
Proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
Excellent time management and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to recognize and resolve schedule conflicts and inefficiencies.
Must have reliable transportation and flexibility to travel and work variable hours.
Must be able to pass background screening and drug/alcohol testing per site/client requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a nuclear facility; Palisades-specific experience a plus.
Familiarity with nuclear site safety protocols, NQA-1, and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B requirements.
Certifications such as PSP (AACE) or OSHA 10/30 are a plus.
Current or prior nuclear site clearance is strongly preferred.
