Job Title: Civil Superintendent/Coordinator 

Location: TVA – Kingston, TN 

Hourly Rate: Depending on experience  

Per Diem: $160/day

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and coordinate civil construction activities on large-scale industrial projects, including power generation, heavy industrial, refinery, and energy infrastructure work. 

  • Provide day-to-day supervision and direction of crews, subcontractors, and field coordinators in high-risk, schedule-driven environments. 

  • Ensure strict adherence to industrial safety standards and site-specific requirements, including OSHA, LOTO, confined space, excavation safety, and hot work. 

  • Interface effectively with Project Managers, QA/QC, Safety, Commissioning, and Client representatives to support project execution. 

  • Support planning, sequencing, and execution of civil scopes to meet schedule, quality, and cost objectives. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 5+ years of verifiable civil construction experience on industrial or power generation projects. 

  • Experience supporting large-scale projects, preferably $1B+ EPC or multi-prime environments. 

  • Hands-on knowledge of earthwork, foundations, underground utilities, and structural concrete. 

  • Ability to interpret and work from IFC civil drawings, specifications, and site plans. 

  • Experience with survey coordination, excavation, backfill, and site logistics. 

  • Proven ability to manage heavy equipment operations and civil subcontractors.

  • Perform sustained physical activity, including standing, walking, climbing, and working extended shifts
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and work in varied body positions
  • Work at heights and in confined or restricted spaces
  • Work in outdoor and indoor environments under varying weather and site conditions
  • Work on uneven, slippery, or rough terrain in active industrial or construction settings
  • Wear required personal protective equipment, including fall protection and respiratory protection when required
  • Maintain situational awareness and communicate effectively to work safely around moving equipment and hazards
