Responsibilities:

Assist Utility’s plant electricians by performing supportive duties as directed and will work under immediate supervision.

Duties include but not limited to:

Adhering to utility’s plans and procedures

Blueprint reading

Pulling wire and cable

perform live-dead-live checks,

Cutting, threading, and bending of conduit

Perform splices and terminations

Be able to use basic hand and power tools and lift up to 50 pounds.

Adhere to all site and company rules, regulations, PPE requirements, etc.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Experience and knowledge of tools of the trade

Must have prior experience removing and replacing bussbar

Ability to work under direct supervision and follow directions

Ability to pass background screens and drug/alcohol testing as required by our customers.

Physical Requirements: Employees must be able to safely perform the essential functions of "the position" with or without reasonable accommodation, including:

Perform sustained physical activity, including standing, walking, climbing, and working extended shifts

Lift, carry, push, and pull tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and work in varied body positions

Work at heights and in confined or restricted spaces

Work in outdoor and indoor environments under varying weather and site conditions

Work on uneven, slippery, or rough terrain in active industrial or construction settings

Wear required personal protective equipment, including fall protection and respiratory protection when required

Maintain situational awareness and communicate effectively to work safely around moving equipment and hazards
