Summary

Arc Services is seeking experienced Pipe Welders with demonstrated proficiency in aluminum and carbon steel pipe welding. The ideal candidate will possess strong GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), and FCAW (Flux Core) welding skills and must be capable of successfully completing a series of client-required 6G pipe weld qualification tests. This position supports industrial and power generation projects where safety, precision, and quality workmanship are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pipe welding using GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), and FCAW (Flux Core) processes in accordance with approved welding procedures.
  • Weld 6061-T6 aluminum and SA106 carbon steel materials to applicable quality standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, weld symbols, and welding procedure specifications (WPS).
  • Prepare, fit, align, and tack piping components for welding.
  • Perform welds in the 6G position and other required welding positions.
  • Inspect and verify completed welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all customer and company safety procedures.
  • Properly maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas.
  • Support quality assurance processes, including visual inspections and testing requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of industrial pipe welding experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), and FCAW (Flux Core) welding processes.
  • Experience welding aluminum and carbon steel pipe in industrial, fabrication, or power generation environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometrics, weld symbols, and welding procedures.
  • Demonstrated understanding of welding safety requirements and proper PPE usage.
  • Ability to successfully pass the following weld qualification tests:
    • 2" Schedule 80, 6061-T6 Aluminum with backing, 6G Position (GTAW)
    • 6" Schedule 80, 6061-T6 Aluminum with backing, 6G Position (GMAW)
    • 6" Schedule 120, SA106 Carbon Steel with backing, 6G Position (FCAW)
    • Additional client-specific weld qualification tests as required
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality welds.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel and work varying schedules, including overtime as required.
  • Must pass background screening and drug/alcohol testing as required by the customer.
  • TWIC card preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

Employees must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation, including:

  • Lift, carry, push, and pull tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and work in varied body positions.
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and industrial conditions.
  • Work on uneven, slippery, or rough terrain.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment, including respiratory and fall-protection equipment when required.
  • Maintain situational awareness and communicate effectively in active industrial environments.
