Job Title: Heat Treating Technician

Location: Various Job Site and Locations. 

Hourly Rate: Depending on Experience.

Summary: We are looking for a skilled Heat Treatment Field Technician. The Technician will perform Resistance or Induction Heat treatment for the use of preheat, post-bake, and or PWHT. Heating items to a specified temperature to achieve a desired result such as hardening or softening of a material, following all client specifications, or procedures. This position performs field heat treatment on a variety of components in the construction industry. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Unload and Load equipment for transportation to the work area and demobilizing from the job site. 

  • Label cables and equipment, moving them around site as required. 

  • Following TC Map for TC requirements, pad placement, customer specific requirements, etc. 

  • Adhere to all site and company rules, regulations, PPE requirements, etc. 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications: 

  • Experience working in an industrial setting with industrial, or nuclear experience considered an asset. 

  • Understanding of a variety of code requirements such as but not limited to, AWS D10.10, or AWS D10.22 is a plus.  

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as working as part of a team. 

  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel extensively and work variable hours. 

  • Able to pass background screens and drug/alcohol testing as required by our customers. 

  • TWIC card a plus. 

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to work 10+ hours per day, up to 7 days/week 

  • Ability to work in both hot and cold conditions  

  • Ability to work in confined spaces if needed 

  • Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and work at heights 

  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and lift up to 20 pounds overhead
