Job Title: Combo Welder 

Location: Various Job Site and Locations. 

Hourly Rate: Depending on Experience.

Summary: We are looking for skilled Combo welders. As a combo pipe welder you will be responsible for using Stick, Mig, Tig and Flux Core welding techniques to weld various components in flat, vertical or overhead positions. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Proficient in SMAW and GTAW on various materials (carbon steel, stainless steel, Titanium, Chrome P22, P91 and P11). 

  • Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures. 

  • Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements. 

  • Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements) 

  • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead) 

  • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety 

  • Operate grinders to prep piping and steel for welding 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications: 

  • Proven experience as welder with attention to detail. 

  • Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures. 

  • Experience in using electrical or manual tools. 

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. 

  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.) 

  • Able to pass 2” 6G XXH Carbon Steel GTAW/SMAW weld test. 

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as working as part of a team. 

  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel extensively and work variable hours. 

  • Able to pass background screens and drug/alcohol testing as required by our customers. 

  • TWIC card a plus. 

Physical Requirements: Employees must be able to safely perform the essential functions of "the position" with or without reasonable accommodation, including:
 

  • Perform sustained physical activity, including standing, walking, climbing, and working extended shifts
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and work in varied body positions
  • Work at heights and in confined or restricted spaces
  • Work in outdoor and indoor environments under varying weather and site conditions
  • Work on uneven, slippery, or rough terrain in active industrial or construction settings
  • Wear required personal protective equipment, including fall protection and respiratory protection when required
  • Maintain situational awareness and communicate effectively to work safely around moving equipment and hazards
