Summary

As a QA Engineer, you will play a key role in driving quality excellence throughout our organization. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to improve processes, strengthen compliance, and ensure our products consistently meet the highest quality standards.

Responsiblities

· Lead quality assurance activities for assigned projects, ensuring quality requirements are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance products, processes, and operational performance.

· Collaborate with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to develop and implement quality programs.

· Ensure compliance with company policies, customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

· Support and lead customer, regulatory, and internal audits, maintaining audit readiness at all times.

· Manage Corrective Actions (CARs) and Nonconformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring timely and effective resolution.

· Provide quality expertise and support to inspectors, engineers, and manufacturing personnel.

· Perform vendor audits and serve as Lead Auditor when required.

· Manage supplier quality activities, including audits, surveillance, and documentation reviews.

· Prepare and review technical documentation such as final data packages, commercial-grade dedication packages, and customer submittals.

· Conduct receiving and in-process inspections as needed to support production operations.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role, preferably within a manufacturing environment

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

· Ability to interpret industry codes, specifications, and standards

· Excellent communication and technical documentation skills

· Experience leading projects and working effectively across multiple teams

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

· Experience using ERP systems

Preferred Qualifications

· NQA-1 Lead Auditor qualification.

· Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) certification.

· Experience with fabrication and manufacturing processes, including:

o Welding

o Cutting

o Electrical systems

o HVAC systems

o Testing and inspection

o Supplier oversight and management

Additional Requirements …

· Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

· Our Quality Engineer position may require access to information subject to US government contractual restrictions, including Unclassified Nuclear Information (UCNI) or other controlled information. Eligibility to access such information is limited to individuals who meet applicable US legal requirements, which may include US citizenship. Candidates must be able to satisfy these requirements as a condition of employment.

· Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% annually.

· This position is based on-site in Batavia, OH.
